Math Tutoring
Small-group and 1:1 tutoring, K–12, virtual or on campus. We start with a diagnostic and teach to the gaps.
Tutoring options →T.I.M.P. helps K–12 students grow in math through tutoring, real incentives and caring mentors, and gives teachers the professional development, coaching and curriculum to help every learner succeed. Founded by Dr. India White, math educator and two-time Teacher of the Year.
Where our model began
Dr. White’s students moved +50 points in a single year. T.I.M.P. was built to bring that approach to more students and teachers.
What we do
Four connected programs: students get skills and belief, and teachers get the support to keep that growth going in every classroom.
Small-group and 1:1 tutoring, K–12, virtual or on campus. We start with a diagnostic and teach to the gaps.
Tutoring options →Students earn points for showing up, working hard and growing, then level up for recognition, certificates and rewards.
How it works →Caring adults trained in the G.R.I.T. framework help students with goals, confidence, life skills and the path to college and careers.
Mentoring program →Math PD workshops, coaching cycles, new-teacher support and classroom-ready resources from a K–12 math author.
For teachers →Tutoring incentives
Students need to see that their hard work counts. Our incentive system rewards the habits that build math skill: showing up, trying hard, and growing.
A friendly diagnostic finds exactly where each student is and sets a personal growth goal.
Targeted sessions close gaps and build fluency, using proven strategies and the G.R.I.T. mindset.
Points for attendance, effort, homework, mastery checks and growth, not just top scores.
Students level up with certificates, recognition events, school supplies and family celebrations.
First goals met. Welcome certificate and a spot on the Rising Star wall.
Steady attendance and measurable growth. Supply kit and family shout-out.
Mastery of grade-level skills. Scholar medal and recognition-night honors.
Ready to lead. Students become peer tutors and earn leadership credit.
The mentoring program
A tutor teaches the math. A mentor helps a student believe in themselves.
“Every student has a starlight moment.”
Dr. India WhiteOur founder was homeless at sixteen. Mentors, teachers and a youth shelter in Sarasota helped her become a Gates Scholar, a first-generation college graduate, and a three-time University of Florida graduate. T.I.M.P. exists to be that support for the next student.
Every student in tutoring can be matched with a trained mentor who meets with them regularly, virtually or at school, and follows the G.R.I.T. framework: Grow, Resilience, Integrity, Tenacity.
